Relaxing in Sabang! / A relaxar em Sabang!
April 19, 2016We came here to relax... And only when we stopped did we realise we were moving too fast and filling our days everyday. There was always some kind of rush to go somewhere in the other places. Here we have a nice air conditioning room, a big pool and the beach is just steps away. We have been too lazy to go out for dinner or lunch, so even the meals we have been doing here. And you can tell the kids appreciate that! They were tired too...and the commuting from one place to other is the worst. We left El Nido at 9.30 a.m. to arrive in Sabang almost 6 p.m. in a crowded van. So some relaxing and do nothing feels really good. The first day we almost didn't leave the room, just for a splash in the pool. We are all taking big naps in the afternoon and going to bed really early.
Very early in the morning we woke up and went to see one of the 7 wonders of the world, a UNESCO heritage site, the Puerto Princesa Underground River. We were one of the first boats to leave so we had the place almost to ourself! It's amazing, miles paddling through caves full of bats where you could only see what the boatman's pointed at. It's hard to describe it's just to incredible. The kids really behaved, it was very dark inside and quite scary so we were kind of surprised they were being so quiet. At some point they asked to go back and we could tell they were relieved when we came out of the caves and saw daylight again. We were so smart that we took our camera but no battery, not much to show unfortunately, just some crappy phone pictures.

Sin duda... ni los niños ni nosotros aguantamos tanto cambio de un lado a otro! ;-)
